A great family reunion doesn't happen by accident. Whether you're gathering 15 people or 150, a checklist keeps everything on track and makes sure the memories get captured.

6 Months Before

  • Pick a date and send a save-the-date (group text, email, or a shared event in Memory Banx)
  • Choose a venue: park, rental house, restaurant, or a family member's home
  • Set a budget and decide if costs will be shared
  • Create a shared album or space for the reunion where family can start uploading throwback photos

3 Months Before

  • Send formal invitations with RSVP tracking
  • Plan activities: games, talent show, family trivia, photo booth
  • Arrange catering or assign potluck dishes
  • Book accommodations for out-of-town family

1 Month Before

  • Confirm headcount and finalize logistics
  • Prepare a family tree display or slideshow
  • Set up a shared event with guest upload enabled so everyone can contribute photos during the event
  • Assign a few family members as unofficial photographers

Day Of

  • Set up a welcome table with name tags (especially for little ones who've grown!)
  • Share the upload link or QR code so guests can add photos in real time
  • Take a big group photo early (before people start leaving)
  • Enjoy it — the planning is done

After the Reunion

  • Collect remaining photos from family members
  • Organize everything into a shared album
  • Order a printed photo book as a keepsake
  • Start planning next year's
